A Calling  

As the urban centers of our nations rapidly expand, these areas are becoming the destination for millions who dream of economic, social and creative prosperity. This pursuit often comes with an even greater and often overlooked economic and social disparity to those who sit just outside of the traditional economic systems. My goal is to use my research to help cities, anchor institutions, and non profits to develop policies and initiatives that welcome in those who stand just outside the door of opportunity to the table of prosperity.

A CURIOUS mind 

William W. Towns is a scholar-activist and practioner dedicated to solving civic and urban issues at the systemic level. Having been born on the south side of Chicago, William quickly became aware of the dysfunctions within the civic and urban systematic structures when he moved to the north side of the city at the age of seven. Curious how two sides of the same city could have such stark differences, with respect to amenities and services, William became committed to understanding why these inconsistencies prevail.
